Description

An absolute stunner of the desk-top letter or stationery holder, made from solid Mahogany with a quality dovetail construction and beautifully shaped edges, including all the dividers.

The front has the most exquisite and appealing inlaid panel, created from wooden marquetry work and the birds and flowers created from Ivory, engraved and inked.

The back bears the original Ivory plaque for the manufacturer / retailer at a very exclusive Knightsbridge / Chelsea address: " W.J. Weedon, 164 Sloane St. S.W. ". The underside retains the original faded velvet to protect your desk-top.

Excellent condition, with a footprint measuring 9 1/4" x 4 1 /2" and standing 8 1/4" tall at rear; the compartments measure 8" wide.
