Description

A delightful brass bound Mahogany box in a campaign or military style, with a quality screwed construction. The lid has a shaped cartouche engraved with the original owner's name, A.G.Muir, the front with a shaped inlaid escutcheon housing a working key.

The interior retains an original set of drawing instruments made from polished steel and Ivory instruments. The removable tray reveals three storage sections below with a couple of Ebony parallel rules.

The inside of the lid retains it's original silk lining with the manufacturer / retailer's gold stamp "Robson, 45, Dean Street, Newcastle On Tyne"

Excellent condition, minor age wear. 7 3/4" x 6" x 2" tall.
