THE ' LOGGIA ' TABLE AS DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED BY THE HUGHES BOLCKOW SHIP BREAKING CO.

THEIR FURNITURE WAS MADE FROM THE BURMESE TEAKWOOD TAKEN FROM BRITISH WARSHIPS AND LINERS, MOSTLY BETWEEN THE WORLD WARS

THE TEAK FOR THIS TABLE CAME FROM THE ADMIRALTY YACHT 'ENCHANTRESS' WHICH WAS BROKEN UP IN 1935 AFTER ILLUSTRIOUS SERVICE, INCLUDING BEING USED BY WINSTON CHURCHILL WHEN FIRST LORD OF THE ADMIRALTY.

APART FROM A PLAQUE GIVING THE NAME OF THE SHIP, THE TABLE CARRIES THE RETAIL PLATE OF J E BEALE, BOURNEMOUTH; WHICH WAS, AND STILL IS, A PRESTIGIOUS, AND THE BIGGEST, DEPARTMENT STORE IN DORSET.

THE GLASS TOP IS SCRATCHED WITH USE BUT ORIGINAL, AND STAMPED 'ARMOUR PLATE'

THE FINISH HAS BEEN LEFT AS 'OUTSIDE' CONDITION, BUT OF COURSE COULD BE OILED
