Polished Steel Fender by Thomas Hadden

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1910, small polished steel bow front scroll shaped fender made by Thomas Hadden and designed by Sir Robert Lorimer. Thomas Hadden was a blacksmith based in Edinburgh who had a working relationship with Sir Robert Lorimer for over 30 years. Some of the more important works by Hadden can be seen at St Andrews House, St Giles Cathedral and the war memorial at Edinburgh Castle. It was in fact Sir Lorimer suggested that Hadden set up on his own. This particular fender was the property of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club St Andrews.

Most items include delivery anywhere in the UK mainland.
