This nineteenth-century French wall rack holds five large S-shaped bentwood hat and coat hooks mounted on a wooden backplate. The piece is made of warm honey-coloured timber finished with a natural grain and simple linear mouldings running along the horizontal mounting rail. The individual hooks curl outward in graceful sweeps, terminating in rounded turned knobs at the tips, and show subtle signs of age with minor surface wear. Practical dimensions measure 11 cm high, 35 cm long, and 7 cm deep, providing sturdy hanging storage suited for everyday use. In a modern home, it works well in an entrance hallway, utility room, or bedroom for organizing coats, hats, bags, and scarves while adding rustic charm to the wall space.
