Salisbury Antiques Centre has dated this Colt 1851 Navy Revolver to the 1850s.
Featuring an octagonal barrel, under-barrel loading lever, steel frame and one-piece walnut grip.

The cylinder bears Victorian proof marks, although the original engraved naval battle scene is no longer visible.
The metalwork displays an attractive, naturally aged grey patina, with surface wear consistent with age and use. The walnut grip retains a rich, dark colour with signs of handling.
A classic example of the Colt Navy revolver, one of the most recognisable American firearms of the 19th century.
