Description

An early example of an 18thc pipe tamper in the form of a coursing greyhound with its prey....the brown hare....it is beautifully carved out of one piece of boxwood with a very fine colour you get with "aged" boxwood and a pleasing form...in excellent condition apart from a small part of the greyhound's tail is missing, albeit from a long time ago...
