FB Antiques has dated this Edwardian Mahogany Dining Set to the Edwardian era.
Item Code: LC1456

The table has a finely figured mahogany top with rounded ends and a bold carved gadrooned edge. It extends by means of two removable leaves, allowing it to be used at three different lengths. The substantial cabriole legs are finely carved with scrolling acanthus decoration to the knees and terminate in traditional ball-and-claw feet with castors.

The twelve mahogany dining chairs complement the table beautifully, each having an elaborately pierced and carved splat beneath a shaped and carved top rail. The set comprises ten single chairs and two generous carver armchairs, all with upholstered seats in a smart striped fabric.

Fully extended, the table measures 253cm and comfortably seats 8 people, making this an attractive and practical dining suite for a large dining room or entertaining space.
