Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Stone spheres have historically been crafted as symbols of harmony, completeness, and geometric perfection. During the Enlightenment and Grand Tour eras, polished mineral spheres were collected as geological specimens and placed in cabinets of curiosities to showcase natural materials.

Granite spheres are produced by cutting dense blocks of igneous granite rock into rough cubes, which are then ground down using specialized spherical grinding machinery. The surface is continuously smoothed with progressively finer abrasive grits until a reflective polish is achieved.

Genuine granite is characterized by a visible crystalline matrix containing quartz, feldspar, and mica. It feels noticeably dense and cool to the touch, featuring random natural speckling rather than uniform printed or moulded patterns.

A stone sphere functions well as a tactile accent on an office desk, console table, or stacked atop design books on a coffee table. Displaying the sphere on a small plinth or brass ring adds structure and prevents rolling.

Clean polished granite using a soft microfiber cloth slightly dampened with water or a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid acidic chemical cleaners or harsh abrasives, as these can dull the polished seal and etch the mineral surface.
