Pareglio & Ayres Antiques Interiors has dated this Victorian Campaign Cutlery Set to the 1890s.
For practicality, the folding fork frame incorporates a folding steel corkscrew at the base. All three pieces are fitted with polished antique bone handle scales secured by brass pins. The scales are pale in colour, showing occasional dark flecks that identify the material as bone. The utensils are built on steel frames with strong internal folding springs. The spoon and fork feature a plated finish with a warm goldish tint from age and wear, while the knife retains its carbon steel blade.

For storage, the utensils slot directly into a separate leather inner sleeve. This sleeve slots directly inside the original clear, faceted rectangular spirit glass. The entire assembly then fits inside a rigid, two part maroon Morocco leather on card outer case, which is decorated on the front with three small stamped silver stars.

The set is in good, functional antique condition. The folding joints and springs remain tight and operational, and the glass is free from chips, cracks, or damage. The outer leather on card case and inner sleeve are structurally sound and close securely. The bone handles show a natural aged patina. There is a small, historic chip to the bone handle scale at the very top tip of the knife near the bolster pin, exposing the underlying brass liner, but this area is stable and does not impact the use of the knife.
