This VICTORIAN PARIAN WARE WALL BRACKET dates from circa 1880.

It is modelled as an EAGLE with outspread wings holding, what looks to be, an olive branch of peace in its talons. The Eagle supports a shaped shelf.

In good condition with no restoration.

Ideal for holding a clock, statue, candlestick, floral arrangement or small plant.

Parian ware is a type of unglazed biscuit porcelain developed in the mid-19th century designed to imitate carved Parian marble. Wall brackets crafted from this material were mounted on walls as supportive ledges to display busts, vases, or small decorative items.
