Six Antique 18th/19th Century Hand-forged Wrought Iron Chimney Trammel Hooks & Pot Hangers

A highly decorative collection of six authentic, antique hearthside pot hangers (trammel hooks), dating from the 18th and early 19th centuries. Hand-forged by village blacksmiths, these adjustable hooks were historically utilized in large inglenook fireplaces to regulate cooking temperatures by raising or lowering cauldrons over an open fire.

The collection exhibits an authentic dark, rich patina and light historic pitting consistent with age and centuries of fireplace use. They remain strong, structurally sound, and fully functional.

This ensemble can provide a charming display for a large country house fireplace, a country restaurant or pub, an architectural restoration project, a rustic barn conversion, or a high-end commercial design installation.
