An exceptional quality, high stone content, composition stone antique planter circa 1920s.
A rare medieval style, baptismal font planter with high relief apostles adorning the body and timeworn lichen weathered appearance, upon an equally advanced weathered base.
The natural aging appearance resembles natural stone, due to the high stone content, a feature of early composition stone planters and statues whilst this is so expertly cast, it shows the hand made chisel marks from the original casting, a model not seen before other than original medieval stone examples which this might probably have been cast from.
A striking garden planter or centrepiece of imposing presence and colour. A heavy planter and base that measures 63cm tall.
