This little beauty is a first for me....it is a nicely formed earthenware pottery money box...it has a squat form with bulbous shape tapering down to a rounded base...I particularly like the shaped finial and is quite rare to find a surviving money box from the Verwood pottery in Dorset....similar in form to the "Dorset Owl" harvest bottle also from the same factory.
