Description

A smart and stylish antique inlaid mahogany sofa table. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1910-20’s.

It is of superb quality and has a gorgeous design. It is predominantly mahogany, with satinwood inlays, walnut cross banded edges and a bur yew central drawer front. The top is beautifully shaped, the drop down ends lift up and are held in place by hinged supports to greatly increase the top surface area. This is nicely finished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.

These types of tables were originally designed to go behind a sofa. However – They work well as general side tables or can even be used as writing tables.
