Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Victorian Diamond Jubilee flag is a printed souvenir textile produced in 1897 to commemorate the sixty-year reign of Queen Victoria. These flags often integrated traditional Union Jack iconography with royal portraits, dates, and heraldic symbols.

Most nineteenth-century commemorative flags and banners were produced using woven cotton or linen. The designs were applied via woodblock printing, roller printing, or early screen printing techniques using natural or early synthetic dyes.

Authentic nineteenth-century printed textiles typically show characteristic irregular weave patterns in the cotton or linen fabric, alongside natural fading or discolouration consistent with age. Stamped or printed dates, royal ciphers, and period-specific manufacturing marks also confirm authenticity.

Antique printed textiles are best displayed when professionally conservation-framed behind UV-protective glass. Mounted as wall art, they provide a focal point in hallways, study spaces, or above traditional cabinetry.

To preserve historic textiles, keep them away from direct sunlight, extreme humidity, and heat sources. Avoid wet washing or harsh chemicals, and consult a professional textile conservator for stabilizing or mounting.
