Description

A truly wonderful package, a wonderful viewer in really superb condition complete with 49 original photo cards of Paris, all in exceptional condition.

During the late 19th century, homes of the aristocracy would have had one of these viewers on show with views from their Grand Tour, this one clearly purchased in Paris with the original retailer's label.

The case is made from Burr Walnut and with Tulipwood cross-banding with the frame for the lens being ebonised.

All original and in excellent condition. The box measures 10 1/2" x 6 3/4" x 3" tall while closed.
