Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This pair of 1930 Queen Anne style console tables is constructed from solid golden oak in a warm brown colour with straight-grain timber visible across the semi-circular demi-lune tops. Each table stands on slender cabriole legs terminating in pad feet, and the construction incorporates smooth moulded edges along the curved table tops. The tables measure 75 cm high, 76 cm wide, and 38 cm depth. In a modern home, this pair is suitable for placement in an entrance hallway beside the front door, or positioned against a living room wall to hold lamps, decorative bowls, or everyday items. The matching tables offer a coordinated look for traditional interior schemes, bringing classic British country house character to domestic living spaces.

A demi-lune console table is a semi-circular accent table designed to sit flush against a wall or the rear of a couch. Originating in 18th-century Europe, the half-moon shape provided surface space while conserving floor area in narrow corridors and halls.

These tables are constructed using solid oak timber or oak veneers, featuring mortise and tenon joinery for stability. Traditional finishes include wax, oil, or shellac to seal the timber and accentuate the natural oak grain.

Authentic period examples display signs of hand-planed timber, historic joinery like pegged mortise joints, and natural age-related wear. Secondary wood species are often present in internal framing or drawer linings.

A pair can be arranged symmetrically on either side of a doorway, fireplace, or grand mirror to establish balance. They can also be used individually in hallways, alcoves, or as bedside surfaces.

Maintain oak surfaces by dusting regularly with a dry cloth and applying beeswax annually to protect the grain. Position pieces away from direct heat sources and sunlight to prevent timber shrinkage or fading.
