An early 19th c Fruitwood Book Press Table of fantastic colour. c 1830, constructed of a mixture of indigenous timbers including, Fruitwood, Birch and Beech, the adjustable press controllled by central thread spindle, above two solid timber plates,a single drawer, supported on four square section tapering legs.
