A fabulous French Champlevé enamel and brass desk stand/tray dating to the Belle Époque period, circa 1880.

Beautifully made in France, this striking piece showcases the fine artistry and craftsmanship associated with 19th-century French decorative metalwork. The heavy brass body is richly adorned with exquisite Champlevé enamel decoration in a vibrant palette of turquoise, cobalt blue, ruby red, white, and green. The intricate foliate and floral scroll motifs display an exceptional level of detail and precision.

Originally used for a small holding tray, maybe for pens, paperknivesor other personal items.
