A fabulous French Champlevé enamel and brass document folder (blotter), dating to the Belle Époque period, circa 1880.

Beautifully made in France, this striking piece showcases the fine artistry and craftsmanship associated with 19th-century French decorative metalwork. The heavy brass body is richly adorned with exquisite Champlevé enamel decoration in a vibrant palette of turquoise, cobalt blue, ruby red, white, and green. The intricate foliate and floral scroll motifs display an exceptional level of detail and precision.
