Ridgway was a prominent pottery manufacturing firm in Staffordshire, England, active during the 19th century and known for producing high-quality earthenware and porcelain table services.

These pieces were typically crafted from fine ceramic or porcelain bodies, featuring moulded relief decorations, hand-painted polychrome details, and applied floral elements fired at high temperatures.

Authenticity is determined by examining makers marks, crazing in the glaze, weight, paste consistency, and the characteristic hand-finished details typical of the period.

They can be displayed on a sideboard or dresser as decorative objects, or utilised on a dining table to add historical character and texture to a tablescape.

Antique ceramics should be hand-washed gently in lukewarm water using mild detergent, avoiding harsh scrubbers, dishwashers, and prolonged immersion to protect the fragile glaze and antique body.
