1920s French cast-Aluminium hat stretcher, marked “La Chapelière.” This device was used by milliners and hatmakers to stretch and reshape felt hats to precise sizes.

The two domed halves are adjusted by turning threaded handle, allowing the user to expand the form evenly while monitoring the size using the printed gauge mounted to the base. The gauge is marked in both inches and French hat sizes, with clear calibration lines and the maker’s details.
