Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
It is of very fine quality, it is a large and impressive size.
The circular top has a tooled leather surface, it stands on a turned baluster base that leads to a platform base, with splayed sabre legs. The legs terminate in brass feet caps and casters, there are also fine quality gilt metal ormolu mounts on the base.

We have had this re-polished, the mahogany has acquired a gorgeous colour tone and patina. The condition is very good for its age, with some normal wear as expected for an item that it over 200 years old.
