Antique Folding Chess and Backgammon Set

1900 - 1920
Description

A good example of a folding games board dating from the early 20th century. It is made from mahogany with an inlaid chess board on the outside, opening out to a backgammon board inside.

It comes with a good quality set of turned wooden chess pieces and later backgammon pieces.

The board is good quality and in good condition for its age. There are signs of age and use, some light surface marks and knocks but no major damages and it is certainly very usable.

The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
