English Arts and Crafts Treen Specimen Wood Turned Goblet

This superb English Arts and Crafts turned goblet is signed on the underside J Hill and dated 1909. It is made from multiple layers of different cut timbers, which have been glued together in a conforming pattern before turning this marvellous goblet.

The different specimen timbers form a geometric pattern which runs through the cup, baluster and foot, which have been formed on a lathe to elegant proportions.

This piece has a rich colour and patina.
