Beautiful antique (ca 1850) Dresden armorial porcelain urn bearing Howard family crest (see https://www.houseofnames.com/howard-family-crest) and motto ‘Virtus Sola Invikta’. The head of the Howard family is the Duke of Norfolk, the hereditary Earl Marshall of England, whose seat is Arundel Castle (Sussex). Height 12in (32cm), diameter 5in (12.5cm) at widest point.
In superb original condition. No damage or repairs. A rare gem!
