Good Quality Large Victorian Frame No 26

Description

A good quality heavy Victorian gilt frame with Laurel leaf and Greek Key motif in the gesso moulded detail.

The frame is in very good condition overall and whilst it is overpainted, so not the original gilt, it does have a good antique colour and is complete in its mouldings with crisp clear detail to the Regency style design.

This measures 67 cms by 57 cms overall.

The aperture measures 40 cms by 30 cms .

The rebate at the back for the picture measures 41.5 cms by 31.5 cms.

It would be easy to remove the substantial gilt slip which would enable a frame with dimensions of 67 x 57 overall
