This lidded preserve pot is a 1930 mid-century British pottery piece by Plichta, executed in the style of Wemyss. Fashioned from white glazed earthenware, the cylindrical jar and domed cover are hand-painted with red cherries, dark stems, and green leaves, finished with a green rim and a small notched opening on the lid for a spoon. The pot has a round central finial on top of the cover, fine glaze crazing across the surfaces, and bears signatures on the base of the jar and the interior of the lid.
