A fine quality Georgian Toasting or Flesh Fork, obviously made for use in a country house of some standing. The fork has a well tuned handle made in fruitwood and it has a wonderful colour and patina. The fork is made of well crafted wrought iron with the slight embellishent of a brass ring. The whole is a great period piece and would have been used for toasting bread or meat by an open fire, it has also remained in untouched condition. C.1800.
