Description

Dating to around 1870, this is a handsome desk-top accessory, perfect for the office, home office or library. Made from solid Walnut, this is a quality example with a double plinth and the ends beautifully decorated with thick brass mounts.

There is an Ivory makers label inset to the side of the plinth, engraved "Sharpe - Makers - 85 Regent St, London".

Excellent condition, with the bookends expanding from 11" to 18". The footprint of the bookslide measures 12 3/4" x 5 1/2".
