THE PISTOL IS HOLDING STRONGLY ON FULL AND HALF COCK AND IS GENERALLY IN GOOD ORDER WITH MINOR KNOCKS AND A FINE SPLIT TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE STOCK WHICH IS STILL SOLID AND STRONG Abraham Eliston though the name is sometimes spelt as Elston worked from 1783-1793 and produced fine quality weapons for the wealthy gentry in south Yorkshire and those travelling along the great north road who regularly frequented his shop ( the great north road would have been a dangerous place in the late 18th century )
