An Exceptional late 18th Century Pembroke Table of the most outstanding colour and patina with choice cuts of the finest figured Mahogany veneers on a straight grain Mahogany groundwork. Superby made with octagonal top having fine Rosewood banding with double Boxwood stringing. The extremely fine and elegant taper legs with beautifully carved patera to the tops are also inlaid with a Boxwood stringing. The handles, lock, hinges and casters are all original.
The rule joint is in mint condition and the leaves drop perfectly.
One old metal work repair to the inside edge, top of leg adjoining the rail, otherwise in complete original condition, all joints are very solid.
A fine and rare piece of English Country house furniture.
