Black Forest Book Slide

£395    $515    €471
Wonderful Black Forest book slide in excellent antique condition. The bookends depict a dramatic scene where a chamois is being attacked by an eagle, protecting a smaller chamois. The craftsmanship is exceptional, capturing the intricate textures of the animals'' fur and feathers. Like all antiques, there are minor imperfections (a few nibbles in the wood, as shown in photos), but these only add to its vintage charm. This beautifully carved piece by a true artist will accommodate more of your favourite titles when extended, making it a wonderful addition to any collection.
