Description

An antique pictorial alphabet set in a cylindrical box with the interior containing circular cards with an alphabet letter on one side and a picture on the other side. There are twenty six cards, a few are replacements cards, three cards with an upper case letter on one side and a lower case letter on the otherside and three pictorial cards which are of the same period as the others but are slightly larger than the other, a good match. So most of the original set remain.

On the lid of the box there is the original circular label saying 'The Prince of Wales ABC'.

These would have been used as a teaching aid for children.
