This very fine watercolour is skilfully painted in shades of grey and black onto white paper. It stylishly depicts an elegant well-dressed young lady standing with her greyhound dog in front of a 1940s motorcar with the slogan � Weekend Wear From Harrods. It is simply framed in a green wooden moulding. On the reverse, it is signed Barbara Rigby, 27 Church Road, Lytham, Lancs.This interesting piece would have been produced for Harrods to use as advertising, probably in the form of a poster.
