Antique Edwardian Mahogany Leather Top Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

A superb antique Edwardian mahogany leather top desk, in the Georgian revival style. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1900-1910 period.

It is of great quality and is a very useful size, quite wide and not too deep from front to back. There are dummy drawers on the reverse, so this looks identical front and back, it can be used as a free standing item. This has a very smart and refined design, there is beautiful pierced fretwork under the corners where the legs meet the top. The top has a gorgeous inset leather writing surface with tooled edges.

We have had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There are some minor marks and indentations here and there, commensurate for age. Overall this has a wonderful patina.
