Rare 19th Century Pine Dropleaf Table, from a Narrowboat, in Original Condition with Wonderful Warm Colour

A rare 19th century (circa 1870) pine dropleaf table, originally made for use on a narrowboat, in original condition with wonderful warm colour.

The table consists of a three plank pine top with narrow central section with a larger leaf to either side enabling either one or both leaves to be opened up, this making the table very versatile.

The table is supported by two decorative cast iron legs with pierced vine leaf brackets to the top with ‘OM HAMMER’ mark, the legs with a rope effect design and splaying out below, each fixed to a shaped pine support.

This table is in very good original condition for age with evidence of old worm, is of stable construction and can go straight into a property including a boat! – the construction of the top making this a very versatile table especially in smaller spaces.
