Tripod tables emerged in Britain during the early 18th century, primarily utilised for serving tea or wine in formal drawing rooms.

Traditional construction features dense hardwoods such as mahogany or oak, joined via a central turned pedestal supported by three cabriole legs.

Authenticity is determined by inspecting joinery techniques, timber patination, hand-turned components, and the presence of period-appropriate wear and tear.

The piece functions effectively as a standalone accent beside a seating arrangement or as a surface for displaying decorative objects.

Maintenance involves dusting with a soft dry cloth and periodic application of high-quality beeswax, avoiding direct sunlight and moisture exposure.
