The table top is designed with hinged brass thumb screws which secure it to the pedestal base. This allows the top to be lifted vertically, for storage purposes. The William IV mahogany wine table is designed with an octagonal tapering central pedestal, which terminates on moulded collar and tri-form base. The William IV centre table rests on its original scroll carved feet, which retain the original steel castors. The centre table is well-constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
