Description

A matched pair of large Delftware chargers dating from the late 18th century, decorated with a stylised floral design to the centre, and a repeated floral pattern around the rim.

Condition: One plate has various chips and wear to the rim, as is often the case with antique delftware, and has an old wire hanger attached. The other plate is a little cleaner around the rim but has a repaired crack that runs right through the centre of the plate, and was probably caused by the hanging hole drilled through the rear. It has been neatly repaired but can be seen on closer inspection.
