Late C.17th Walnut Barley Twist Side Table with Drawer (Carolean Country Small Occasional Lamp)

A late c.17th walnut side table, with barley twist legs and single drawer. Solid walnut construction, with oblong shaped top with moulded edge. Single drawer with single brass drop handle. Raised on barley twist and block legs. All supported by plain stretchers.

A handsome and charming period table, with very good colour, polish and patina. Very well presented. Cleaned and waxed, and ready for use.

Dimensions:

This table measures approximately 66 cm (26") tall, 69.5 cm (27.5") wide, and 50.25 cm (19.75") deep.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in a good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. There is a small repaired split to one corner of the top, and three small pieced repairs. Some marks and blemishes typical of age and use. A small piece repair to the lower part of the right front leg on the outside corner. A little historic, extinct worm holes to the lower parts of the legs and stretchers, typical of old walnut. None of which is particularly visible, and does not affect the structure or sturdiness of the table in any way. All of which has been fully treated, as matter of precaution. Attractive colour, with lovely aged patina and good wax polish throughout. Never been French polished. This table has been through the workshop, and been sensitively cleaned and waxed. Very well presented. Very serviceable and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.

Returns

A 30-day return period is offered for peace of mind. Items must be returned in the same condition as supplied. Return transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer, and original delivery charges are non-refundable. Responsibility for the item remains with the buyer until it has been safely received back.
