Victorian Miniature Mahogany Chest of Drawers

Description

A lovely miniature mahogany chest of drawers, dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It is a charming piece with four drawers, each with their original turned wooden knobs. The chest itself is made from mahogany and stands on a traditional plinth base. It was likely once part of a larger unit but it is very well made and each drawer is beautifully made with hand-cut dovetail joints.

It is in good original condition and the mahogany has a wonderful patina. The drawers are clean and tidy and all open smoothly. There are some general signs of age and use, some minor marks and light knocks and some small chips on some of the knobs but nothing detrimental and overall it displays well.
