Philip Carrol Antiques has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
The shoulders with continuous bands of stylised floral scroll, beneath a lappet border to the neck. A further lappet motif adorns the foot of the jars.
Height – 32.5 cm, 12 3/4”.
Diameter – 25 cm, 9 7/8”.
Condition – Museum repairs to consolidate several cracks and breaks to both jars. They are secure, and display well, in true ‘Country House’ tradition.
