A finely mounted and cased Amazon green parrot. The parrot is shown in a naturalistic setting perched on a branch surrounded by vegetation. The background is beautifully painted to simulate the sky and landscape. The parrot is in good condition with bright colours and is well posed. The whole is in good untouched condition but there has been some slight flaking of the paintwork inside the case. A fine and decorative piece of antique taxidermy. C.1900.
