Superb Staunton Pattern Chess Set. Boxed.

1900 - 1920
Description

Superb quality large size Staunton pattern boxwood and ebony chess set housed in original felt lined oak box. There are no makers markings to the set that I can see but this is the best quality chess set I have ever offered for sale. The pieces are all superbly turned and carved and they are all weighted. A real sign of quality is the knight's which are beautifully carved and also have glass eyes. The king size is 1 7/8" diameter by 4 1/2" tall. They are all in very good condition with no damage and all pieces are original. The box is also in very good condition.

SIZE; Box size is 9" by 7" by 5" high. Largest piece is 4 1/2" tall
