This PAIR OF GILT CASED PLASTER INTAGLIO DISPLAYS date from circa 1860.

There are 26 Intaglios in total, each edged with gilt paper and individually numbered.

A great deal of thought has been given to the mounting and overall display.

The darker patches in the photographs are simply light reflecting on the glass.
