Description

A really fabulous large Victorian Lignum Vitae pin cushion, carved in the form of Scottish Thistle with a carved handle to either side. The carving is exceptional quality, and the piece nice and heavy made from this dense hardwood.

The top sports it's original cushion, threadbare really but all original and really looks good with the warm nutty wooden base.

A few minuscule chips commensurate with age, insignificant and mentioned purely for accuracy. A beautiful and tactile sewing accessory in excellent condition standing 4" tall and 3 3 /4" wide handle to handle.
