Lee Wright Antiques & Interiors Ltd has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The top is especially thick with a faded golden colour, and has a reeded moulding to the edge, with contrasting stringing. The frieze of the table is substantial and is panelled to the sides and back. At the front there is a series of four drawers, with the original swan's neck handles. The frieze stands on six cabriole shaped supports with unusual leaf carved detail, and these are connected to a large under tier. The under tier stands upon three shaped supports that have a particularly fine patination.
An interesting table with quality carving, fine proportions, great colour and large size.
