A good example of a Victorian Mahogany extending Dining table & 8 Balloon back chairs.
Constructed using quality Mahogany throughout.
This Dining Table stands on turned Mahogany supports with brass caster and cup.
The table edges are delicately rounded off and the top is in good condition.
The table comes with 2 mahogany leaves to insert as and when needed with a winding handle to enlarge or shrink the table as desired.
One leaf is slightly darker due to being used less.
The 8 Balloon back dining chairs are structurally sound and are later upholstered in a later fabric, the seat pads can all be removed so as to aid reupholstery which would be relatively cheap due to this.
The chairs have elegantly shaped balloon backs with with turned front leg and sabre legs to
...the back. These particular chairs can also be tightened up as they have a pretty clever screw in the back to enable tightening.
The fabric on the chairs is very clean but there are some deep marks , this isnt too noticeable and can be used perfectly well as is or would be very easily steam cleaned.
Offered in good antique condition with patina and signs of age.
